Cloaked is a privacy startup dedicated to rebuilding consumer trust in how personal data is used. Our vision is to create an internet that serves the needs of its users, first and foremost—with individual privacy and opt-in at the core. Our product is a virtual “cloak” that you use as you visit any website — Facebook, Amazon, etc. It lets you choose to share all, some, or none of your private information based on your personal preference.\n\n\n\n\nWhat will you do?\n- Lead the roadmap and architecture of the systems you own, identifying improvements that will enable new functionality and features\n- Take responsibility for the stability and uptime of the systems you own\n- Lay foundations to scale the system as cloaked grows!\n- Collaborate with cross-functional groups - frontend, design, etc., leading to innovation\n- Build infrastructure to support a modern cloud application with broad integration capacities\n\n\nWhat skills will help you?\n- Experience building and maintaining high-quality software\n- Python\n- Experience building scalable platforms\n- Track record of leading high-quality designs, code, tools, and large-scale systems\n- Experience building and deploying robust and secure web APIs\n- Past experience with, or experience to quickly pick up Django and Django REST\n\n\nWhat do we like?\n- Passionate about security and internet ethics\n- ML experience or interest\n- Experience in DevOps and CI/CD\n- Knowledge of cloud application security models\n- Curiosity for industry trends and technological advancements in software\n- Startup or growth-stage experience\n- Passion about security and internet ethics\n\n\nThe base salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 - $235,000. Compensation is dependent upon job-related skills, experience and relevant education / training.
