The Biodata Developers’ (BioDev) Network powers the future of open-access genomic and life science discovery around the world by creating skilled communities of knowledge and support centred on cutting-edge computational approaches. The BioDev Network is a cross-organizational initiative dedicated to fostering new technology capabilities, promoting knowledge sharing, and enhancing thought leadership within the life sciences, clinical, and health tech sectors. Our key initiatives are: – Communities of practice to cultivate best practice and provide on-demand training in critical areas such as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), web development, digital security, and bioinformatics. – Fellowships, Mentorships, Training, and Networking to support open and accessible learning in science and technology, especially for under-represented groups in the global south. – Thought Leadership through whitepapers and opinion articles that gather collective knowledge to pinpoint emerging trends, assess the impact of technological advancements, and offer insights into potential opportunities and challenges.
