You're In Business

UrbanCast Media is a registered entity in Bangalore (est. 2019) but appears to be a micro-scale service business (paid-up capital ~$1,400 USD) rather than the high-growth tech startup implied by the 30-person team claim. The submission contains significant exaggerations ('most people have used my product') and confusing financial data ('500000 marketcap' likely INR, not USD). While the DOOH taxi-top concept has real-world utility and the company is operational, the lack of verifiable digital traction, low capitalization after 6 years, and poor data quality in the submission result in a score within the 'Minimal Traction' range.

Description
Bringing targeting and transparency to Outdoor Media: Two factors that have defined online digital media, but have been completely missing in outdoor media. Our digital taxi tops are IoT-enabled, cloud-controlled and GPS-linked, and can therefore, target to the fullest extent outdoor allows: Food startups can advertise breakfast during breakfast time; Banks can call out their branches when the taxi is near the branch; Political parties can change creatives to showcase the relevant candidate for the particular constituency. Media Buyers don't have to stay away from Outdoor anymore. Complement any online digital campaigns with an outdoor digital campaign. The synergy will be incredible. There is no need to get bogged down by banner blindness in traditional media and in digital media, when there's a refreshing new approach. Our values as a responsible media-owner: 1. We have set aside a good portion of our inventory for three community-beneficial campaigns: missing children campaigns, traffic safety awareness campaigns, clean city campaigns. 2. We will also be branding the devices city-based, as we know we are helping in uplifting the branding of whichever city we are based out of, as a tech-enabled city. 3. Helping the environmental cause, by ensuring a plastic-free approach to outdoor is adopted and where the carbon foot-print is least compared to any other outdoor media. 4. Most of all, each of our driver-partners will be able to substantiate their monthly earnings by an amount almost equal to half their EMIs. This activity has a very personal consequence and we are proud to have activated a model that not only provides value to the corporate advertiser, but helps distribute the proceeds and help uplift the situation of our driver-partners. Launching in Hyderabad and Bangalore and soon in Mumbai.
