Gaining Momentum

Urban Explorer Sdn Bhd presents a solid B2B utility with its 3D mapping and AI-based asset management tools like PavementAi. However, the submission is marred by highly vague and contradictory claims regarding audience reach ('everyone') and evidence of traction ('most people have used my product'). While the 15-year market presence in Malaysia suggests baseline viability, the lack of verifiable metrics and professional response quality significantly limits the overall score.

Description
Urban Explorer Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia in 2009. The company started it’s business with the introduction of the 360º 3D OUTDOOR panoramic street level to Malaysian market, providing 3D mapping solutions, including road asset management system. The business has seen rapid growth over the years especially with the current trend towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) and rapid adoption of physical asset digitalization (Digital Twins) by government and companies alike. For the past 5 years Urban Explorer has been positioning itself to become the market leader as the digital twin maker, adopting AI-based applications as part of the overall solutions offered to customers. With years of experience as market pioneer and strategic partnership with leading technology developers, Urban Explorer is charting a steady path to achieve its vision. Positioning ourselves as maker of digital twins, we provide services and products that enabled organization to move towards digitalization by providing services from 3D mapping for both outdoor and indoor environment, GIS (Geographical Information System), spatial data creation and applications development which mainly are AI-based. Increased requirements for digitalization had prompted the development of AI-based applications for day to day operation to help expedite the process. Our machine learning models are specifically based on object recognition algorithms and developed mostly for geo-spatial applications. In the past 2 years, Urban Explorer had aggressively started developments on applications called PavementAi (automatic road defect detections) and RAssetAi (automatic road asset data tagging and extractions), which are both based on machine learning technology. These two applications are now ready for commercialization and are going through rapid developments to meet specific potential clients’ requirements.
