Umoja Labs (formerly Emerging Impact) is a verifiable Public Benefit Corporation with high-impact partnerships (Oxfam, WWF) and significant utility in the blockchain-for-social-impact sector. However, the submission itself contains severe inaccuracies (e.g., Business Type: 'Immunotherapy', Evidence: 'most people have used my product', Audience: 'everyone'), which significantly degrade the confidence score. While the underlying project is strong and likely comparable to the calibration baseline in scale (51 employees vs 13), the response quality necessitates a substantial penalty.

Description
\nUmoja Labs, formerly known as Emerging Impact, is a public benefit corporation that empowers NGOs, governments, and social enterprises to modernize financial services in emerging markets with blockchain technology. Our vision is to realize economic empowerment of millions of people at a time by leading the fight for inclusive, digital finance through open banking \u0026 decentralized microfinance.\n\nOriginally founded as ‘ConsenSys Social Impact’ in 2017, our company has since re-established itself as of May 2020. The company consists of two arms: Our consulting team typically works with major NGOs to research, develop, test and deploy digital humanitarian aid programs around the world (current engagements include Asia Pacific, Middle East, Southern and Eastern Africa, Caribbean and South America regions). While our product development team is developing open banking solutions for marginalized communities in the emerging markets. \n\nThe Umoja Labs team consists of pioneers within the blockchain for social impact space, having deployed the world’s first digital currency backed humanitarian aid program in Vanuatu (Project Unblocked Cash w/ Oxfam International), the first blockchain enabled transparent grant management platform with the World Wildlife Fund of Australia (Impactio.Global), and co-created the first immutable worker wellness reporting tool (Survey Assure) in collaboration with New America and the U.S. State Department. The team has had the opportunity to earn global recognition for our work, including being the recipient of the E.U. Blockchain for Social Impact Prize. Two of our founders, Robby Greenfield and Sandra Hart sit on the Expert Panel of the European Union Blockchain Observatory \u0026 Forum.
