Description
Transform Computing (XFR) develops and delivers explainable AI (XAI) for analysis and control of the energy grid, especially microgrids, each of which is a collection grid resources (generation, load, and often storage) under the control of a single organization. The bidirectional nature (both sending and receiving energy) of distributed energy resources (DERs), the large number of such resources in a microgrid, and the dynamic nature of the emerging DER-dependent grid are combining to overwhelm conventional analytics. Machine learning and AI are one promising avenue to controlling the emerging grid both effectively and efficiently. XFR also brings deep expertise in advanced math and high-performance computing to bear on these analytic problems.
