ThirdSense appears to be a dormant or failed startup initially co-founded by Joachim Kruithof (now at Ansys) to develop fluidic haptic technology. While the technology concept described is innovative and aligns with legitimate deep-tech research (similar to 'Fluid Reality'), the project's website is inactive/parked, and the submission contains highly questionable metrics (claiming 'most people have used my product' despite no market presence). The 'marketcap: 500000' figure is ambiguous and likely refers to a past valuation or is a misunderstanding. With key leadership having moved on and no verifiable product in the market, the project lacks current viability.

Description
Haptics for everyone! ThirdSense is a haptic technology to enable touch interaction on any surface. There are 3 times more connected devices than humans on Earth. Their implementation are growing every day and should exceed 75 billion in 2025 ... We are surrounded by digital devices and their uses are booming! Power over our environment increases, yet our ability to control devices saturates. Interactions are massively based on sight and hearing. Haptics represent an opportunity to unleash our abilities. Haptic technology refers to any technology that can create an experience of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user. ThirdSense is developing a next-generation of haptic interactive technology that makes the surface of objects intelligent by covering them with a controlled fluid. That defines the fluidic haptics. For manufacturers who want to improve the interaction with their device, we cover the user’s hand rest surface with our tech to create feedback and control through their sense of touch. With fluidic haptics, we make use of touch ability to humanize technology.
