Terciv presents itself as a 2016-era blockchain solution to combat fake news, but provides severely exaggerated claims ('most people have used my product') with zero verifiable current traction. The solution relies heavily on conceptual buzzwords rather than demonstrable technical utility, resulting in a minimal quality factor and a very low overall score.

Description
The Terciv blockchain platform was designed to tackle the global epidemic of fake news and purposeful misinformation. With the use of blockchain technology, Terciv will create a way to authenticate the origin of news articles and other forms of published content on the web, so that the consumers of that information can have a way to verify the veracity of the information. Our goals are multifold, with the long term vision being * Protect the public and ensure that we have an informed population by decreasing the amount of misinformation being spread on the web. * Protect legitimate content publishers by providing a platform for content creators/publishers to protect their brand by giving them a way to certify which articles they've published. * Protect the content disseminators (e.g. Facebook and Google) from spreading false information, by creating a public ledger that will allow for the verification of content source/creation in a way that will allow for dissemination channels to certify the origin of the content. At our core, Terciv is designed to create a system that will bring about the validation of news articles distributed online. Terciv uses blockchain technology in a distributed ledger fashion along with machine learning for pattern recognition to properly index articles from confirmed reputable sources into a white list, while blacklisting purposely deceitful articles via the use of pattern recognition algorithms. The solution being offered by Terciv, will not only assist, but will combat this problem through a multi-level approach that will assist in ensuring that news articles consumed online are curated and forever imprinted into the public distributed ledger.
