Das Sana Klinikum Remscheid ist ein Schwerpunktversorger und behandelt als Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Universität zu Köln jährlich zirka 21.000 stationäre Patientinnen und Patienten. Weitere rund 43.000 Patientinnen und Patienten werden ambulant versorgt. Das Klinikum bietet eine qualitativ hochwertige, umfassende Generationenmedizin von Schwangerschaft und Geburt über Kinder- und Jugendmedizin bis hin zur Medizin des erwachsenen und auch älteren Menschen – und das alles unter einem Dach. Fachübergreifend gewährleisten 14 Abteilungen und acht interdisziplinäre Zentren eine exzellente medizinische Behandlung. Mehr als 1.000 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter arbeiten an zwei Standorten (Klinikum in der Burger Straße Remscheid und Tagesklinik und Psychiatrische Institutsambulanz Wuppertal). Träger ist zu 95 Prozent die Sana Kliniken AG und zu 5 Prozent die Stadt Remscheid.
