Robotic Algometry Inc. produces RAMalgo, the reproducible automated multimodal algometer. Using robotics and AI, RAMalgo will revolutionizes preclinical pain testing by replacing the current antiquated methodologies that rely on human testers to apply stimuli by hand and measure responses by eye. Robotic testing ensures reproducible stimulation with different modalities (heat, mechanical, and optogenetic) and precise withdrawal measurement. Our robot RAMalgo can be controlled remotely, via joystick, or run autonomously using AI. All data, including videos, are recorded to electronic files and additional information can be extracted from video using self-supervised machine learning algorithms developed by us. Our mission is to transform preclinical pain testing and improve clinical outcomes. RAMalgo enables better, faster, more comprehensive pain testing. By identifying better pain drugs at the preclinical stage, more drugs will succeed in clinical trials.
