You're In Business

Philippe Rixhon Associates demonstrates a prestigious history of consultancy and research (European Commission, Arts/Tech), with credible legacy claims. However, the PoU score is constrained by the nature of the submission: it represents a boutique consultancy rather than a scalable technology product. The claims regarding audience reach ('everyone') and traction ('most people have used my product') are hyperbolic relative to the specific entity submitted, resulting in lower quality factors. While the spin-off 'Valunode' suggests current innovation in copyright tech, the submitted metrics (ambiguous market cap, lack of verifiable active user data) prevent a higher valuation comparable to high-growth tech platforms.

Description
Philippe Rixhon Associates is an arts & media research lab using engineering expertise to advance the arts and artistic creativity to develop technical solutions. 1983: Establishment of the company – over the years, we contributed substantially to the global positioning system, logistics simulation, computer integrated manufacturing, knowledge-based configuration and diagnostic systems, predictive maintenance, embedded systems, data mining and analytics, and next generation networks. 2005: Launch of the arts division “L’atelier Spectaculaire” with a first focus on performing arts creation and production. 2008-2018: The Aarya project – we designed and deployed new ways to engage fans and audiences including augmented simulcasts, participatory concerts, online, mobile and in-video commerce. 2009-2023: The copyright conundrum – we envisioned the synchronization of content access and authors’ remuneration. We then conducted a series of related researches leading among others to the “Study on copyright and new technologies” published by the European Commission and a contribution to “Enabling the Internet of Value” published by Springer. 2023: Spin-off of Valunode OÜ, a company intermediating verifiable rights data to ease copyright protection and facilitate content monetization. 2023-2024: We worked on “Landscapes, Writing and Memory”, a literary project at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, and “Partnership for Artistic Research in Technology and Sustainability (P+ARTS)” at Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari.
