Orbiventure Ltd. presents a compelling conceptual mission using Earth Observation and AI for marine sustainability, but the submission contains severe red flags. The claimed audience reach ('everyone') and traction ('most people have used my product', 'all time marketcap: 500000') are entirely unrealistic and unsubstantiated for an early-stage 2024 startup. Furthermore, technical details are contradictory, listing 'Management Consulting' instead of an actual technology stack. Due to the lack of verifiable traction, conflicting data, and poor response quality, the project falls into the minimal traction/red flag tier.

Description
Orbiventure is an early-stage company using Earth Observation (EO) and AI to create practical tools for sustainable fishing, whale conservation, and coastal resilience. We partner with research, academia, and government to track whale and basking shark movements and deliver actionable insights for fishing operations. Our tools integrate directly into navigation systems, logbooks, and mobile apps, providing risk maps, alerts, and planning support that help reduce by-catch, equipment loss, and risks to personnel. At the core of our work are partnerships with fishermen and coastal stakeholders. We avoid “parachute design” by co-creating solutions with the people who dedicate their lives to the sea. This ensures that EO insights are accurate, trusted, and adoptable, supporting both sustainable fisheries and the protection of endangered species. Orbiventure is supported by Imperial Enterprise Lab and Barclays Eagle Labs and is building collaborations with UK and Canadian fisheries, research institutions, and conservation partners.
