Monil aims to give farmers robust tools to make their operations more efficient. We do this by replacing traditional fences with virtual fences. Our product allows the animals to move freely on new pastures, while the farmer gets full control of where the herd is and how they are doing. This saves the farmer money and time, and gives them peace of mind. Monil was started in 2022 by a team of Norwegian engineers with world-leading expertise in microelectronics, low-power electronics, hardware and software development. With solid support from the well-renowned investor Firda, we aim to become a world-leading supplier of farmer- and animal-friendly technology that redefines what the farming profession of the future looks like. In time, Monil will simplify and improve far more aspects of livestock keeping, such as giving the farmer an automatic overview of the animals' health and heat, automating controlled grazing, and providing better insight into the animals' behavior and well-being. A bit like a digital shepherd.
