You're In Business

Michigan Hackers is an active and beneficial student organization with verifiable corporate sponsorships (e.g., Meta, Crowdstrike, Oracle) and a highly engaged local community. However, the submission includes several exaggerated and contradictory claims, such as 'everyone' as the audience, 'most people' using the product, and an unsubstantiated $2.5M 'marketcap' for a student club. These drastically penalize the response quality and traction multipliers. As a localized club with an outreach of around 4,000, its scale aligns with the <50K user calibration bracket, yielding a modest final PoU score.

Description
Michigan Hackers is the largest tech-oriented student organization at the University of Michigan with 200+ active members and an outreach of 4000+ people. Our community is dedicated to fostering the growth of passionate students in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. We offer high-quality resources to help students better themselves, combining technical, social, and professional skills with a computer science twist. Through various connections to projects, skills, faculty, companies, and more, we create a smaller, tightly-knit community within our large university. Our primary member engagement takes place during our weekly Thursday hack nights, where we organize teams specializing in different areas such as Android, iOS, Security, Machine Learning, Open Source, Quant, and more. During these hack nights, members collaborate on semester-long projects to develop their skills and contribute to the community. Michigan Hackers is proud to have the support of esteemed corporate sponsors, including Crowdstrike, Grainger, NiTs, Meta, Capital One and Oracle. Their generous contributions enable us to provide exceptional opportunities and resources to our members. Join our vibrant community on Slack or visit our website today to discover how our collaboration with these industry leaders enhances our mission and benefits our members.
