Marauder Robotics is creating an Ocean Intelligence Platform focused on Ocean Restoration and Data Collection. Marauder Robotics is building a robust and rugged autonomous underwater vehicle platform and multipurpose data collection hub system. The Marauder system is a marine management tool that leverages computer vision, machine learning, and robotics to automate manual tasks traditionally done by divers. Our initial objective is to restore kelp forests by actively reducing sea urchin populations in impacted regions. Currently, ocean restoration organizations are manually managing urchin barrens using divers armed with hammers. Marauder Robotics is automating the diver's efforts to reduce the restoration timeline and costs by order of magnitude. Our efforts will accelerate ecosystem biodiversity, economic impact, and greenhouse gas/ocean acidity mitigation.
