You're In Business

MaishaPay addresses a significant problem (financial inclusion in rural Africa) with a theoretically sound solution combining blockchain and USSD/SMS. However, the submission quality is extremely poor, containing unverifiable and exaggerated claims ('most people have used my product', 'everyone'). External search confirms the project exists, has a presence in DRC, and claims B2B partnerships (e.g., Sodeico), but also reveals potential trust issues (scam warnings for related domains) and limited verifiable user volume compared to the claims. The project falls into the 'Minimal Traction' category due to the lack of credible evidence provided.

Project Details

Description
Maishapay is a financial service that relies on blockchain technology. This ensures a relatively low cost level while providing a high level of security for all operations. In addition, maishapay is characterized by its consideration of African realities. Our service will be accessible via smartphone but also GSM phone (SMS & USSD). This makes it possible to deploy it even in the most remote areas (covered at least by the 2G). FINANCIAL INCLUSION IN RURAL AREAS MAISHAPAY seeks to establish itself as a banking solution in rural areas generally disadvantaged by banks in Africa. To this end, we make available to entrepreneurs in rural areas such as farmers or farmers working individually or in cooperatives financial services that banks generally offer in urban areas; these are credit, insurance and savings services. Such financial services made available to entrepreneurs in rural areas allow the economic and social development and financial inclusion of this broad layer generally working in the informal sector.
