Mad Pumpkins is a verifiable independent game studio working on 'Movierooms', a cinema management tycoon game. While the project concept shows promise for the indie simulation market, the submission contains critical inaccuracies, most notably the claim that 'most people have used my product' despite the game being unreleased (slated for 2025). The discrepancy between the claimed reach ('everyone') and the niche reality of the genre, combined with the lack of verifiable user data, results in a low score typical of pre-launch projects with poor submission quality.

Project Details

Description
We are a independent studio engaged in the production of videogames. The founders strongly believe that games are the best way to convey emotions, they are a tool to carry messages but also a way to share cultural heritage, ideas and art. Since January 2022, is working on the production of its first title: Movierooms. It all started on French soil (2019), where after years of pre-production and hard work, the team obtained the first Italian funding, thus being able to start the actual production of video games. The team aims to create great games that gather people while redefining the way video game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and the way we operate and treat each other. We promote a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where our different skills, experiences and backgrounds influence the games we make. Mad Pumpkins'team is currently developing "Movierooms", a business simulation game (for PC and MacOS): the player is the owner of a movie theater, where the daily goal is to manage the employees, satisfy the customers, choose the films to screen and maintain the structure. The adventure starts with the first Nickelodeon in 1900 and goes on until today. An entertaining game where simple curiosities reveal a new way of seeing how everything has changed through the years.
