The Joe Gibbs Human Performance Institute (JGHPI) is a biomechanical engineering research facility dedicated to an enduring effort to better understand the fundamentals of human movement for performance optimization and reducing injury risk. JGHPI aims to revolutionize quantifying human movement through developing innovative data acquisition systems and deriving better and quicker insights using leading-edge machine learning, computer vision, and digital motion analysis approaches. Due to the complex nature of human performance, our team is a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists who use state-of-the-art technology and methods to study human movement, health, and wellbeing. We work with high-performing athletes across a range of sports and abilities with an overarching goal of deeply understanding the mechanisms underpinning human movement.
