Certified Problem Solver

The Invasive Species Corporation is addressing a critical environmental and economic problem with tangible biological solutions, including Zequanox and a USGS collaboration. However, the submission suffers from vague and exaggerated claims in the form fields (e.g., asserting 'everyone' is the audience and 'most people have used my product'), which results in heavy penalties for traction, reach, and response quality. Despite the poor submission quality, the underlying technology and market relevance remain strong.

Project Details

Description
The ISC was started by experience, successful entrepreneurs dedicated to the discovery, development & deployment of sustainable biological solutions to control invasive species, increase biodiversity and address climate change. Invasive species have caused over $2 trillion in economic and environmental damage and are the second largest cause of biodiversity loss. Invasive species are getting worse with climate change. We are currently selling Zequanox(r) for control of invasive zebra and quagga mussels in pipes and water bodies. We have a collaboration with the USGS to finish development of Piscamycin(r), a natural product to control invasive carp and other invasive fish. We have a microbial and plant natural product screening platform, guided by AI and machine learning for discovery of microbial natural products to control toxic algae and aquatic and terrestrial weeds. We have discovered bioherbicide and bioalgaecide candidates and candidates to control problematic crustaceans.
