Our board certified genetic counsellor assesses your risk for a genetic disease based on your personal and family medical history and discusses whether genetic testing is right for you. If you decide to proceed with genetic testing the genetic counsellor will discuss the possible results and implications for you and your family. The results of the testing will be disclosed in a follow-up visit that will include a discussion of the meaning of the results, potential management strategies, and resources/supports available to you. Our services are available by telehealth to anyone across Canada and in-person consultations will be available locally in the future.
