The submission describes a legitimate academic event (EurOMA CEE & EPIEM 2024 at the University of Trento) but is severely compromised by spam-like, incoherent input data. The project name 'Glass & Ceramics Lab' conflicts with the AI/Management theme of the description. Critical fields contain blatant falsehoods (e.g., claiming 'most people have used my product' and a market cap of over 1 billion), which trigger red-flag penalties. While the event itself is likely real, the submission quality and veracity are non-existent.

Description
The University of Trento will host the joint event “4th EurOMA CEE Research Network Workshop 2024 & 17th EPIEM Conference 2024”, following the successful experience of this format as organized in Graz in 2022. The theme of this joint event is: Creating effective research partnerships in Central and Eastern Europe to tackle innovation and sustainability challenges in the era of AI. Scholars will meet to discuss and develop effective research opportunities connected with the central theme of Artificial Intelligence in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering and Management, and the related challenges, e.g., sustainability, circular economy, ethics, and innovation. A specific focus is given to opportunities and challenges in Central and Eastern Europe, based also on the involvement of industry actors to provide practical insights to scholars. First, the initiative will feature on October 3rd 2024 a face-to-face workshop event, that is, the 4th EurOMA CEE Research Network Workshop, which brings together enthusiastic operations management, industrial engineering, and management scholars (e.g., professors, instructors, lecturers, researchers at all levels, PhD students, postdocs) and practitioners from the CEE region. Second, the 17th EPIEM Conference on October 4th 2024 will provide the opportunity for participants to present their research, welcoming studies from major areas in the management, business economics and industrial engineering fields – theoretical or empirical with a strong link to technology management/techno-economics. The 4th EurOMA CEE Research Network Workshop 2024 & 17th EPIEM Conference 2024 is designed as a fully integrated and combined event. The 4th EurOMA CEE Research Network Workshop participants are also invited to submit a conference paper to the 17th EPIEM Conference.
