Dr. George Ath. Kounis is 49 years old and was born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. He has a bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Atomic, Molecular Physics, and Lasers (1997) from the Physics Department of the University of Crete. In Dec. of 2011, he created G&N Electronic and Medical Solutions in Greece aka GNEMS. He acquired his PhD (2008) degree in Health Sciences at the Medical School of the University of Crete and worked as a researcher at the University of Crete from 1998 to 2010 with a rich research background with 50 peer-review publications and over 30 presentations in congresses in Ophthalmology and an international patent. His background is Optoelectronics, High Power Lasers, Non-Linear optics, Computer Sciences, Programming, Wireless/Wired IP networks, Optical Fibers, Thermal Imaging and Biostatistics. He has taught for the University of Crete from 2006 to 2010 and 2024 the Medical School of NKU of Athens Master Programs. GNEMS is a rapidly evolving company designed to support the most recent trends that connect Electronic Security Systems and IP solutions toward IoT integrations. Dr. Kounis is the owner of many certifications in CCTV and Networks -Microtik MTCNA, Hikvision CSA, Texecom Certified Consultant, Draytek Certified Net Admin, Mobotix Certified Consultant, SpotterRF Journeyman, Intel Gold Technology Provider, Dell Technology Provider, Cambium Networks Certified Partner. As IP CCTV advances with Advanced Behavioral Analytics, Thermal Cameras, Bi-Optics Systems, VMS, Alarms systems with Advanced IP Communication Systems, Satellite IP Networks and Radar Detection technologies for anti-drone security GNEMS applies integrated systems in vertical markets like Fish-farms, Hospitality, ANPR, and industrial applications. GNEMS is Distributor of the most complete CCTV Designing Software by JVSG and was Prime Partner of ARH for Greece from 2019 to 2021. In 2021 he collaborates with Vaxtor Technologies a leader in OCR technologies.
