Gaining Momentum

Fondelius Control Systems AB is a verifiable, long-standing (est. 2003) consultancy in the high-value embedded systems niche, servicing major clients like ABB and Vestas. However, the submission suffers significantly from poor data quality: 'audience reach' claims are exaggerated ('everyone'), and financial metrics are ambiguous ('marketcap' in revenue field). While the Real-World Utility and Technical Innovation are high due to the critical nature of the engineering work (trains, wind turbines), the Evidence of Traction score is penalized for lack of clear growth metrics and the laziness of the response. The project represents a stable small business rather than a high-growth scale-up.

Description
Fondelius Control Systems (FCS) is focused on the development and testing of software in embedded systems where control theory and other signal processing are the core ingredients. We also develop our own products so that our HIL-based test bench which targets the testing of converter control systems. Specialist knowledge can be provided in the following areas: - Digital signal processors (DSP) - Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) - Software (C, C++, C#, Assembler, Java, Matlab, Simulink, plecs, VHDL) - Control theory (Model-Based, Robust, Adaptive) - Signal processing (Filter, DFT, FFT) Examples of applications that we have worked with: - Electric motor control for high-voltage switchgear (ABB) - Baseband software for WCDMA and LTE (Tieto) - Electric propulsion systems on trains (Bombardier) - Active noise reduction for ventilation systems (ABB) - Power conversion in wind turbines (Vestas Wind Systems) Examples of job roles: - Software architect and developer - Project leader for small teams - Control systems engineer and specialist HIL-based test bench for converter control systems: Our HIL-based test bench is based on hardware and software from dSpace and Mathworks. It targets primarily the testing of converter control systems. For these system the test bench can be used during the product development phase, for example when developing a new feature. The most popular use is however automated regression testing of a product.
