Industry Mainstay

Dipsea is a well-established, venture-backed platform in the sexual wellness space with significant market presence and funding (Thrive, Bedrock). However, the specific submission provided contains lazy data entry (e.g., claiming 'most people have used my product', 'audience reach: everyone'), which severely impacts the quality factors. While the underlying project is high-value and verified via external knowledge as a category leader, the score is penalized for the lack of specific, verifiable metrics in the submission itself.

Description
Dipsea is a female-founded company empowering women to tap into their sexuality on their own terms, and to feel more powerful in and outside the bedroom. Our in-house story studio produces original erotic audio stories, sexual wellness sessions, and sleep scenes. While new startup players have addressed female pleasure with hardware products and better education, the content landscape hasn’t seen meaningful change. By taking a mind-first approach to sexuality, Dipsea is pioneering what The New Yorker calls “a new genre of storytelling” \n\nFounded in 2017 and backed by world class investors like Thrive (Spotify, Instagram) and Bedrock (The Athletic, Cameo), Dipsea is pushing the conversation around sex out of vice and into wellness. In just two years our team of engineers and creators has built three apps, produced over 250 audio stories, successfully navigated complex policy and advertising challenges, and created a product listeners love. Curious what people are saying?\n\n“It has allowed me to explore my fantasies without shame and make my sexual wellness not just permissible but a priority. It's amazing that an app can be that transformational, but it is.” \n\n\"Amazing writing, gorgeous sound design, wonderful actors. I really really appreciate how much attention you all give to lgbtq+ experiences and alternative lifestyles as well.\" \n\n\"Although I’ve had the same partner for the last 13 years, I’ve always struggled with how to ask for what I want. Dipsea provided positive examples of functional communication in the bedroom. This allowed me to shift the way I communicate with my partner, and I feel more satisfied and empowered than I ever have before in my life.” \n\n\"I'm a survivor of sexual assault, so it's really helpful to have an audio story of fully consenting adults to kinda, help me re-normalize how sex can be a joyful, positive experience. It's been helpful for a little reprogramming.\" \n\n“Life changing. Self care is self love! This app will transport you.”
