You're In Business

Digital Hospital Inc. presents a high-utility medical device concept (insulin dosage verification via computer vision) backed by verifiable patents and NIH-published clinical studies. However, the project submission contains critical inaccuracies, notably the claim that 'most people have used my product' alongside a description admitting it is a 'proof of concept'. External verification confirms the company exists and has been active since 2015, with recent 2024 updates suggesting a pivot to virtual care, but commercial scale is minimal compared to the 9-year timeline. The score reflects strong technical merit and problem-solving potential, heavily penalized for false traction claims and slow market execution.

Description
Digital Hospital Inc. is a startup medical hardware and software company with current IP and a proof of concept hardware. Digital Hospital, Inc. will position itself as a global medical device company, with brilliant and innovative engineering, and low cost solutions for healthcare while securely connecting our devices to the Internet of Things (IOT) and the cloud. The problem worth solving: It is estimated that 1 in 3 people in the US will experience a mistake in their medical care in their lifetime. Insulin is associated with 33% of serious medication errors. Dosing errors can cause hypo or hyperglycemia resulting in prolonged length of stay, morbidity and mortality. There is currently no true accurate confirmation of dose administered in hospitals leaving room for human error. Digital Hospital, Inc.'s solution: We have created a medical device which uses advanced computer vision intelligence to discern the correct type & dosage of medication in a syringe. Documentation of dose administered doesn't rely on human data entry, and is accurately recorded in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Benefits: Our device will help hospitals in the following ways: Cut Costs: Healthcare administrators are looking to cut costs. Digital Hospital's first product will cut their costs by reducing the amount of insulin wastage. Increase Safety: Healthcare administrators are looking to increase patient safety. Digital Hospital's first medical device helps insure patient safety, by double checking the medication and dosage that the nurse has drawn up in the syringe. Improve Health & Reduce Human Error: Healthcare administrators want better ways to improve the health of their patients. Digital Hospital uses advanced vision intelligence and the most current EHR data in order to more accurately ensure the correct amount of medication a patient is given.
