Dicino Medical Technologies is a verifiable health-tech startup based in Iceland (est. 2016). Search results confirm the existence of their 'Lumina' EMR product and its integration within the Icelandic healthcare system, as well as grant funding received in 2022. However, the submission contains significant hyperbole (claiming audience reach is 'everyone' and 'most people have used my product'), which contradicts the localized nature of the traction (Iceland population ~370k). Financial metrics are ambiguous ('marketcap 2500000' without currency) and team size data conflicts with external databases (stated 30, external sources suggest ~5). The project demonstrates high real-world utility in a niche market but lacks the global reach and verifiable scale to score higher.

Description
Dicino Medical Technologies was founded in 2016 and has launched two health technology solutions: - Lumina is an EMR solution that a multinational health tech company has acquired and used by most doctors in Iceland. - Dicino is a mix of a multilingual digital anamnesis and a symptoms checker that automatically writes the medical report in the doctor’s native language. Dicino benefits doctors: Dicino automates the screening process, saves time, and minimizes the burden on doctors and the medical staff, which is extremely relevant today because of COVID. Dicino moves part of the workflow from doctors and nurses to the patient’s hands and minimizes their time in the waiting room. Other benefits: - Improves the services and patient engagement - Reduce time spent on administration - Shortens the consultation time - More support for doctors - Get more detailed information about the patient - Have more time to spend on examining the patient - More confidence to correctly diagnose the patient. - Quality assurances on medical reports - Saves cost - No language barriers between doctors and patients It’s time to work smarter and support your doctors! The extreme burden on the world health system is high because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, awareness and professional willingness to automate and digitalize the health system is at maximum. Lack of time and stress has been a persistent problem in health care systems around the world. Doctors spend a large part of the day on registration work. At the same time, patients sit in the waiting room and do little while waiting to see their doctor. Dicino is built on an already proprietary established Electronic Medical Records technology that is already being used by the majority of Icelandic doctors.
