In 2020, JBIX has merged into DE-CIX Malaysia as part of our combined effort to co-develop the Malaysia and Singapore market. Initially started as Johor Bahru Internet Exchange, JBIX's hub is located in Johor Bahru, the southern-most city of the Peninsular Malaysia. The Open DC datacentre JB1 and JB2 (where DE-CIX/JBIX's two nodes are hosted) is located at Menara MSC Cyberport, a building 2KM away from the causeway linking Singapore and Malaysia. DECIX-JBIX is an Award-winning, open, carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point operating on the DE-CIX's Apollon software-defined networking platform. DE-CIX is the world's leading operator of Internet Exchanges & Interconnection Services with locations in Europe, the Middle East, North America, India and South East Asia. Every day, more than 150 employees from 32 nations ensure the smooth exchange of data from over 2,100 network operators, Internet service providers and content providers from more than 100 countries.
