I have always loved working to encourage an individual to learn. I believed IT should work for the user and not to replace them. I am all for developing tools that will support and encourage growth and education for my users. Technology should free us from labour not enslave us. AI and machine learning have challenged my viewpoint on the possibility us getting along to live cooperatively together. Technology can give us freedom or control us depending on implementation and the desired outcome. I am for an open society, where the individual can live free from fear. I believe this is possible with the current technology, but instead fear gets in the way, and we create technology to control each other behaviour because we no longer trust each other. A human being is a learning machine that wants to make everything like the way we want it to be, but we are confused about what we want, and we let other manipulate our uncertainty and fear. I know, I have spent my entire life hearing I don't know what to do with this machine in front of me, please help me. Can we be comfortable in the unknown and let it unfold and play? I always encourage my users to play and explore. That is the environment I want to foster. You are the AI that is trying to learn all the social and environmental signal around you. There is just intelligence and what we should create is for the common good, we only exist for short time, no matter how much we want to immortalise the self, the self is a remembered past, that is it. That is my philosophy.
