BigSpring has been selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer 2020 (past recipients included Google, Twitter, Airbnb, and Palantir).\n\n**ABOUT THE ROLE**\n\nWith a multi-faceted skill set, our Software Engineer should be product-minded and self-driven, and be able to apply themselves across front-end, back-end, data and infrastructure. BigSpring is rapidly growing and our Software Engineer must succeed in all that this entails, including architecting new codebases, translating business needs into actionable work, and knowing when to move fast against when to take the time to do something right.\n\nBigSpring’s product ecosystem centers around a progressive web and native applications serving hundreds of thousands of users within network and hardware constrained environments globally. Additionally, we have several web applications and tools supporting content management, client success, analytics, reporting, and more.\n\nIn this role you'll:\n\n- Build software in a full-stack capacity, front-end and back-end, from architecture through deployment to the end-user\n- Contribute to existing products and services as well as build new ones\n- Execute end-to-end ownership and accountability over the projects you work on\n- Work relatively independently and asynchronously as part of a US-based product, design and engineer team within a global company across several time zones\n- Contribute to product ideation and feature specification\n- Shape our engineering culture, values, and processes\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the team:\n\n- Demonstrated experience with a modern web technology stack that includes React, Node, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Apollo and Typescript\n- Demonstrated experience shipping software as part of a small team\n- Familiarity with emerging web platform best-practices, including progressive web applications, service workers, network optimization, and performance optimization\n- A willingness to be a broad generalist, wear many hats, and react to changing requirements\n- Ability to prioritize competing tasks, work autonomously, understand technical trade-offs\n- A product-first mindset with a forward-thinking approach about how to use your craft to enable and evolve the business\n- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when working with non-technical stakeholders\n- Passion and enthusiasm about what you do\n\nWhy you’ll love working here: \n\n- You’ll be part of an innovation-driven, high-growth company on a mission to improve people’s lives \n- Competitive compensation package with equity\n- Exceptional medical, vision and dental coverage\n- Flexible vacation and PTO\n- Female Founder/CEO\n- Supportive, highly collaborative team environment\n- Bi-Weekly Learning Sessions \n\n \n\nBigSpring is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
