Ciel Creative Space

We are a unique, multi-purpose artistic sanctuary where creative minds can explore, collaborate and produce within our 50,000 square feet of photo studios and workspace. WOC-Owned and female operated, our space includes nine sunlit studios for photo/video shoots, live streamed events, an inspiring coworking space, and more. Ciel Creative Space was born from a desire to create a home for the creative community in the Bay Area. With our mission to make space to be human, we believe in community and collaboration. From our suite tenants to our studio clients, it is important for us to build a strong, long-lasting relationship with clients once they step foot through our door. Alongside a team of developers, we selected our location by analyzing various social, economic and eco-factors. Just as acupuncture is aimed to relieve stress in the human body, the goal of our philosophy, urban acupuncture, is not to disrupt a community, but to release tension and ultimately allow the natural flow of energy. Ciel seeks to be a therapeutic space that is fully immersed in its community. Our mission statement is making space to be human. We believe that creative synergy can flow within a space when it is empowered from within. We believe in creating from truth and experience. It’s through these elements that we see the purest, rawest form of creativity come to life! Opened in January 2019, we landed in Berkeley for numerous reasons. Most importantly the ease of access. Just fifteen minutes from San Francisco and Marin, Ciel is right off the freeway and easy to get to. With wide open streets and ample street parking, clients arrive fresh and ready for all the creative ideas to start flowing! The surrounding community of Ciel is in the heart of the gourmet food and art scene. With bakers and chefs to our right, and musicians and artists on our left, we are surrounded by a diverse group of creative professionals from all corners of the industry.
