Come join us at Poloniex and build the future of finance!\r\n\r\nAs a Principal Software Engineer on the Poloniex Trade Engine, you would be a key member of the team as we embark on building a low-latency, high performant cryptocurrency trading platform that services a global user base 24/7. You will architect, implement, and maintain a highly performant and secure crypto trading platform.\r\n\r\nWhat you'll work on:\r\n\r\n* Solve hard, open ended, problems in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space\r\n* Design and code critical aspects of a highly secure and scalable trading platform\r\n* Build RESTful microservices on AWS cloud platforms using modern software delivery techniques including ECS and Docker\r\n* Troubleshoot and fix code defects\r\n* Leading a team of engineers to help design, build, and deliver new features\r\n* Coach and mentor other engineers\r\n* Learn a lot, be challenged, and have fun\r\n\r\nWhat you'll bring to the team:\r\n\r\n* 7+ years designing, leading, and coding professionally\r\n* Expertise with a compiled language such as Go, Java\r\n* Experience with a scripting language such as python, nodejs and/or php\r\n* Expertise building and testing microservices with REST\r\n* Broad knowledge of SQL and relational database design\r\n* An eye for detail\r\n* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems and concepts to people of all levels of expertise\r\n* A passion for learning and sharing what you learn\r\n* Comfort and experience shifting gears quickly, learning on the fly, and working on an evolving product without having all of the answers \r\n* We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Poloniex.
